Defense Department Sends More Aid to Ukraine

President Biden says it will “pay dividends” for American security.

The Department of Defense (DoD) announced another security assistance package for Ukraine last week, providing that country with additional air defense equipment, artillery rounds, and antitank weapons to continue its defense against Russian attack. This package is the 49th drawdown of equipment the Defense Department has provided to Ukraine since the war began, representing $150 million of the now $43.9 billion worth of weapons sent to the country for defense.

“It’s a smart investment that’s going to pay dividends for American security for generations, help us keep American troops out of harm’s way, help us build a world that is safer, more peaceful, and more prosperous for our children and grandchildren,” President Joe Biden said of the security package.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Defense Department officials as they continue to allot U.S. military resources and equipment to Ukraine.
  • For discernment for the president and members of his administration as they pledge ongoing assistance to Ukraine.
